LIFESTYLE & TRAVEL

Aloha is probably the most commonly known word in Hawaiian. It is used as an expression of love, for greetings and farewell, but it also encompasses a deeper meaning that can be translated into “Breath of Life.” Aloha is a philosophy, a way of life, and a belief that everything on this planet is interconnected and sacred, and we must respect one another and all living beings with the Aloha spirit.

The last monarch of Hawai’i, Queen Liliʻuokalani, described the Aloha Spirit as such: "Aloha is to learn what is not said, to see what cannot be seen, and to know the unknowable."
